AAIE is so pleased to welcome our community to our upcoming AAIE 2024 Global Leadership CONVERSATION: Collective Care and Action – in February 2024. Reconnect with friends and colleagues as well as participate in engaging Keynotes, and interactive breakout sessions to help you grapple with leadership challenges. We will also hear from voices within our own community sharing their leadership stories and wisdom. As has been our custom, through CONVERSATION, we work together to generate collaborative ideas, explore innovations, and discuss what keeps us up at night.

Collective Care and Action
Our conference theme this year, Collective Care and Action, emphasizes the importance of shared responsibility for the well-being of a community. It challenges us to recognize that everyone benefits when we come together as a community to create systems and sustainable practices through critical and inclusive thinking and design. In submitting this form, please capture the ways in which your presentation will focus on evidence that aligns with this theme as well as the conversations strands.

Innovative Schools
Have you led your school in engaging, designing, and implementing innovative solutions for a significant need, problem or challenge? Inspire and support our international school community with your story of innovative leadership strategies and how they ensured an empowered, equitable, and supportive community. How have you been innovative with your approach to collective care and action?
Well-Being & EQUITY
Within our current context as well as for the future, the focus on Social and Emotional Learning and Equity have become, and continues to be, a top priority in many schools. The need to broaden our understanding of SEL and Equity, as well as acquiring and applying skills to help us navigate the challenges within your community is vitally important. Everyone benefits from students and educators to senior leadership and board members with the ultimate goal of a thriving and healthy school community. How have you and your school addressed these issues?
Governance
Governance continues to be the most discussed leadership topic across international school regions, as confirmed by ongoing AAIE surveys of school heads across five continents. Board trustees and heads of school form the single most important team within a school. If the school head and board team are not in harmony, equitable, and productive, then all other functions across a school are compromised. What can you share with our community?
