Dacher Keltner's Opening Session Un-Keynote
Dacher Keltner is a Professor of Psychology at the University of California at Berkeley, Director of the Berkeley Social Interaction Lab, and serves as the Faculty Director of the Berkeley Greater Good Science Center. His research focuses the biological and evolutionary origins of compassion, awe, love, and beauty, as well as power, social class, and inequality. At AAIE 2020 in NYC, Dacher presented "Power, Leadership and Principles of Positive Social Change in the 21st Century", which you can download HERE or by clicking the presentation image below.

Superintendent of the Year and Awards Breakfast
Andy Page-Smith, School Director of the American International School of Johannesburg, received this year's AAIE Dr. Ernest Mannino International Superintendent of the Year Award. He's pictured below receiving the award from AAIE President Jeff Paulson alongside 2019's winner, Rose C. Puffer.
Dr. Keith Miller International Innovative Leadership Award
Atlanta International School and the U.S. Department of State were selected as the recipients of the 2020 Dr. Keith Miller International Innovative Leadership Award. AIS (left) was recognized for its commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and the Department of State (right) was lauded for its Overseas Schools Security Grant Program.

Women's Leadership Breakfast and Firoozeh Dumas Un-Keynote
ISS and AAIE invited all conference participants to this treasured annual event. This year’s breakfast featured informal remarks from conference un-keynoter Firoozeh Dumas, author of Funny in Farsi, who spoke about her own leadership and writing life. It was also a time to network with leaders of international schools from around the world.
