"Being on Time for the Future" and Hotels

AAIE Leadership Conference CONVERSATION

(February 2-6, 2018)

Dear AAIE Community Members,

A quick and snappy message...this holiday season.

San Francisco hoteliers are enjoying a seller's market– no question.  I know some of you have struggled a bit to sign into the Hyatt Regency San Francisco through the AAIE website.  We are working closely with the hotel, and the block of rooms set aside for our conference has sold out now three times.  We've signed for additional rooms.  Especially on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, rooms are tight.  To make matters more challenging, IBM is sponsoring a city-wide conference the day our conference concludes.  There are still rooms remaining at the Hyatt Regency, but the Wednesday night price has increased because no regular AAIE room rates remain.

Creativity is our friend.  We have arranged with the Harbor Court Hotel, situated 1.5 blocks away from the Hyatt Regency– also a 4 Star, 4 Diamond hotel– with room prices at the same per/night cost as the original Hyatt Regency discount. CLICK HERE to reserve a room at the Harbor Court (the special rate code is already built in) if you are having any difficulty booking with Hyatt Regency.

Let us know of any difficulties you are having.  We have resolved many of the issues because you contacted us.  We advocated directly with hotel personnel.  We're pretty good at this problem-solving thing– and we want nothing getting in the way of your participation in the AAIE Conference CONVERSATION.

The AAIE May 2018 Leadership Challenge Rankings

There IS something quite new about this AAIE gathering.

We are offering nine pre-conference all-day sessions based on the nine leadership challenge survey results. WE NEED YOU TO SELECT YOUR PRE-CONFERENCE CHOICE IN ADVANCE.  Please help us to fully support your leadership learning experience by making a choice of pre-conference in the coming days.

We also want to ensure levels of participation in support of our speakers/facilitators. CLICK HERE to sign up for your pre-conference session on Sunday, February 3, 2019.  Thank you everyone!

AAIE is about leadership learning– there is no extra cost for our pre-conference sessions.

We are firm believers that who we are tomorrow has much to do with what we do today.  This AAIE Conference CONVERSATION is truly a new approach, responding to member feedback, ideas and leadership challenges. Now we need you in support of your AAIE.

Please register for AAIE membership, the conference and now we've opened up more hotel room options too.  During a bit of downtime this holiday season,  please click on the links to join the CONVERSATION

For our part, we're going to keep trying to put a special four days together in San Francisco, so we can all keep learning.

But just now, stop to take a deep breath after a full-on first semester. Enjoy your family time–the real gift of the holiday.

On behalf of our AAIE Board of Trustees–

All Good Wishes and the Best of Holidays,

Mark E. Ulfers, Executive Director
