Dear AAIE's World Community,
 
We talk much about learning, as we should. Some lessons are more important than others.  I think what we have to learn from this world is that we need each other more than we admit.  Please stop for a minute and think of your past or current mentors– someone who put wind under your wings to lift you, helping you find your way.  My guess is that a name immediately comes to mind. Consider too that there is no exercise better for the heart than lifting people up and celebrating their contributions to others. 
 
December 15, 2018 is soon upon us.  Please consider nominating a leader, your mentor or a personal hero– the person you've watched lighten the burden for others and brought a community together or who found the courage and wisdom to help others be their better selves.  I hope you too believe that the AAIE community reflects much of the good the world needs. The Dr. Ernest Mannino Superintendent of the Year Award 2019
This is AAIE's most prestigious award that honors outstanding front-line leadership in international education. International school heads of AAIE member organizations that are current in the profession may be nominated. Dr. Keith A. Miller Innovative Leadership Award 2019
We honor the innovators and disruptors in our midst.  This award is open to any international superintendent, principal, board member/owner, or school leader from an AAIE member organization. Nominees are reviewed on their leadership toward successfully motivating a school or community in identifying, creatively addressing and solving a need, issue or challenge. AAIE Hall of Fame Award 2019
AAIE Hall of Fame recognition is awarded to an individual who has made significant contributions over a period of ten (10) or more years to international education and who has furthered the goals and mission of AAIE.  We honor leaders who have modeled and helped others lead with vision, wisdom and integrity. The AAIE 25-Year Award         
The 25-Year Award is a longevity recognition award presented to active AAIE members who have belonged to AAIE for 25 years.
