Who we are

CASIE works with educators to promote international understanding through education programs, research, discussion, policy planning, and workshops. We are a non-profit organization that promotes multi-language programs, the International Baccalaureate, and international understanding in K-12 schools in the United States and abroad. CASIE aims to strengthen the U.S. education system as it readies students for a more competitive global economy by equipping them with a broader world view and cross-cultural communication skills. We believe in supporting educators’ work and all children’s access to education. CASIE was created in the fall of 1999 at the Atlanta International School by a group of trustees and educators who realized the need for such a resource in the region. We offer a full range of face-to-face and online workshops and consults with schools around the world in a wide variety of fields relating to international and multi-language education. CASIE also works with like-minded organizations to promote international education. Our partners include the International Baccalaureate, The Harvard Graduate School of Education's Project Zero Research Center, the Atlanta International School, the Washington International School, and Atlanta Public Schools.
