Thanks to all 35 of my colleagues who responded to my burning
question about
1. discounts for classes not taken at school - complete consensus
- NO DISCOUNTS (some in capital letters, too! OK, ok I got the message,
thanks.)
2. some differences of opinion about whether we should allow
parents to 'fiddle' with the program by offering native language classes (or
any classes of their choosing)during the school day (in lieu of our program
offerings of Catalan)

felt that the school could/should accomodate and
facilitate the offerings, if they can-

comments were:
-teacher/parent
should submit some sort of a curriculum (depending on the level of
professionalism)
-if the teacher/parent is qualified and fulfills the schools
expectations for curriculum, lesson plans, supervision, etc. credit may be
given -get signed letter of understanding up front from parent
-do what you
can to make positive things happen for kids
