Subject:      Summary to budget query

Here are the results, from the twenty or so of you who responded:

Q1: Percentage of 100% self-paying parents?

A very wide range was reported, as might be expected. I doubt that 20 is a representative sample of our group, but for information purposes, I got a range from as low as 3% to as high as 85% self-payers, and everything in between.

Q2: Percentage of budget for annual major maintenance and renovation?

The range was from 2-10%, with the majority of responses somewhere around 5-6%.

Q3: Percentage of budget for capital accumulation or improvements?

I think I didn't phrase the question well. Many of you understandably reported that this came from your capital assessments, and gave me some figures from $30,000 to $800,000 annually. Those who reported in percentages gave me a range from 3-20%, with most around 4-5%.

Hope this helpful and thanks to those of you who responded.
