Administrative Staffing Ratios

________________________________________________________________

I have another request.  Currently our Upper School (grades 7-12) has

270 students, but we are estimating an increase of another 60 students,

which should take us to about 330 students.  The Upper School Director

feels she needs additional staff because of the additional 60 students.

I would appreciate your input on the number of adminsitrative staff

you have and/or any further suggestions.

Our Upper School, grades 7-12, current enrollment 270 (increasing to

330), currently functions with the following administrative staff:

-  Upper School Director, grade 7-12 will full-time secretary

-  Upper School Guidance Counselor with full-time secretary for grades

9-12

-  Part-time Guidance Counselor for grade 7-8

-  Department Chairs for all departments (stipend, no release time)

-  Middle School Coordinator (stipend, no release time)

-  After-School Activities Coordinator (stipend, no release time)

-  Athletic Coordinator (stipend plus once period of release time)

-  Part-time attendance secretary for grades 7-12

-  Part-time Dean of Students to address minimal discipline issues

(stipend and release time)

-  Part-time (60%) Computer Coordinator, <underline>allocated strictly

to grades 7-12</underline> for manipulating scheduling, attendance,

report cards, transcripts, etc.

-  Full-time Head of Admissions, who handles the vast majority of work

for incoming admissions.  However, ultimately the Upper School Director

and/or Guidance Counselor interview Upper School students and their

parents prior to making a final admissions decision.
