The Innovation Leadership Certificate is a three-part training for international school educators who want to learn how to grow their innovation capacity through creating school innovations designed to meet the needs of their students and impact their schools. Join us for this 2-Day learning event to create and implement new innovations for your school and build your innovation capacity to lead, then stay connected to this network with innovative educators from around your region and the world to share your challenges and success!
WHO IS IT FOR?
Curriculum leaders, principals, heads of schools, technology & integration directors, department chairs and other school leaders interested in forwarding innovation.
PART 1 - ACCELERATE YOUR CHANGE
• Learn a systematic approach to identifying important learning opportunities
• Design prototypes customized for your unique school contexts
• Create plans for leading this prototype successfully in your school
PART 2 - DEVELOP ESSENTIAL CONDITIONS
• Share and reflect on your authentic prototyping work in your school
• Learn how to grow, develop, and leverage Essential Conditions to foster innovation culture and success
• Takeaway your plans and resources for strategically establishing and growing the Essential Conditions at your school.
PART 3 - PUBLISH YOUR JOURNEY
• Writing & Publishing Your Innovation Journey in AAIE's international research journal InterED or the International Leadership CONNECTOR
Participants need to participate fully over the 2 days to receive the AAIE Innovation Leadership Certificate.
Kevin is the Director of Technology Services at Consilience. He has led teachers
and administrators at three different schools through the transformation of becoming innovative digital-age organizations. In doing so he has developed and implemented effective school-wide programs for innovating in complex systems, while speaking often on the subject at high profile conferences such as ISTE, ASB Un-Plugged, NESA, and Learning 2.0. Kevin has worked tirelessly to help teachers and administrators understand, trust, and practice innovation as a powerful process and mindset for school improvement. Kevin has published writing in several collaborative publications including Together: A Collaborative Journey to the School of Future, Future Forwards and Flattening Classrooms, Engaging Minds. He is passionate about the challenge of developing innovative leaders that can help lead our schools through the increasingly complex landscape of education in the digital age.

Shabbi Luthra Shabbi is the Director of Research and Development at the American School of Bombay and the Founder & CEO of Concilience Innovation Leadership Academy
Dr. Shabbi Luthra has worked for over two decades in various teaching and leadership roles in the field of Educational Technology in international schools. Her expertise includes envisioning, deploying, and providing guidance in the areas of technology integration programs, staff development, building technology leadership at all levels of a school, and planning and managing change and transitions in schools. Her work is focused on the development of stakeholder ownership of technology integration, and on the creation of technology-enriched learning environments that support students’ acquisition of skills for their future. She has led research in 1-to-1 learning programs and along with Dr. Damian Bebell started the International Research Collaborative, a consortium of international schools researching their laptop programs. She presents workshops and seminars at conferences around the world and provides consultative advice to schools on technology planning, tech integration, and implementing laptop/tablet programs. She has served as Director of Research and Development at the American School of Bombay and has led educators to study, design, prototype, and research new designs of schooling and sustainable innovation for relevant learning. She is leading the use of data to inform learning in schools through the design of learning analytics and data visualizations. She is also the founder and director of the ASB Online Academy, a premier online school that supports learning for adults, students and educators. Shabbi’s graduate degrees are an M.Ed in Curriculum & Instruction from the University of Houston and a doctorate from Boston University in Educational Media and Technology. She currently teaches graduate courses on technology integration and 21st century teaching and learning at Boston University.
