AAIE Mission

The mission of AAIE is to inspire and support leaders in international educational to achieve excellence and innovation by creating a dynamic, global community that:

·         Provides forums for discussion and the resolution of common issues;

·         Promotes advancements in school leadership, educational research, and best practice;

·         Develops partnerships with institutions and associations worldwide; and

·         Fosters networks of personal and professional relationships.

Parameters

·       No new program will be instituted, nor will any existing program be continued, unless consistent with the AAIE mission statement.

·       Board members share responsibility, with the Executive Director and staff, for the association’s success.

·       The Executive Director and all committee chairpersons, reporting through the Executive Director, will be responsible for informing the Board of progress in each aspect of the organization’s activities.

·       We will only provide programs and services of the highest quality, using consistent evaluative feedback from participants to ensure the effectiveness of those programs and services.

·       We will balance our need for innovation and change with respect for our traditions.

Objectives

·         To ensure that our programs and services help school leaders improve their ability to achieve excellence and to innovate.

·         To expand innovative programs and services in support of international school leaders.

·         To increase active participation by all age levels and categories of school leaders at least 20% by 2012.

·         To increase AAIE membership 20% by 2012.
